Program Officer

Tides Canada is currently seeking a full-time Program Officer who will provide support for ongoing strategic program development, manage relationships with key institutional donors and partners and implement our grant making programs and services. The Program Officer will report to the Director of Strategic Programs. The successful candidate will have extensive background in one or more environmental issues (including scientific and social dimensions) plus exceptional analytical and communication skills and demonstrated on-the ground experience.

Program Associate

Alaska Conservation Foundation

The Program Associate plays a key supporting role in managing foundation relations (with funders who support ACF), supporting ACF’s grantmaking programs, and implementing the Conservation Internship Program (CIP). The Program Associate works closely with both ACF’s program and philanthropy staff to help ensure the aforementioned strategies are well-coordinated and effective. The Program Associate reports to the Deputy Director.

Individual Giving Director

Global Green Grants

Position Overview: In 2011, Greengrants has a fundraising goal of $5.2 million, 30% from annual individual “major” gifts, above $5,000. Individual giving is seen as the single greatest area for revenue expansion at Greengrants. The Director of Individual Giving will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of a strategic individual gifts program that includes major gifts, annual fund gifts, donor services and programming, and aid in the strategic development of individual giving communications. The position will have primary solicitation responsibility for a geographically focused portfolio of donors, and will also supervise two Donor Relation Managers who each maintain portfolios of donors and aid in the development and execution of donor programming. The Director of Individual Giving works closely with the Associate Director and CEO and is a member of an 8 person development team led by the Associate Director. This position will require significant domestic and some international travel.

Manager, Climate Change

Skoll Global Threats Fund

The Manager - Climate Change will be the content specialist for the Skoll Global Threats Fund on climate change, one of the Fund's five "global threats." She/he will help shape and manage the Fund's strategy, networks, grantmaking, and policy approaches to climate change. She/he will also be interested in how the challenges and opportunities of Climate Change diverge and converge with the other global threats that the fund has identified and how we, as a society, can more effectively tackle the complex common challenges they present. She/he will share our belief that emerging and existing global threats share common challenges in areas like risk management, risk communications, policy making on issues of low probability/high consequence, leadership and governance. This position will work closely with the Chief Scientist, the VP for Alliances/Partnership and the Director of Policy and Communications. This is a full-time, exempt position.
